Lessons in Uncomfortability

February Theme — Divine Discomfort. Week 1 — Lessons in Uncomfortability.

Affirmation: I expand beyond my comfort zone and trust the goodness of the Universe to support me.

You have the power to consciously shape your experience of change. Embrace it as an opportunity for personal growth and transformation, let being uncomfortable be your guide! Start today and unlock your true potential for a fulfilling and joyous life!

This week Rev. Rainbow introduced us to Divine Discomfort. The discomfort arises from a resistance to change. Growth happens when we transform the discomfort, making it divine.

“Nature will not let us stay in any one place too long. She will let us stay just long enough to gather the experience necessary to the unfolding and advancement of the soul.…Nature demands the change in order that we may advance.” -- SOM; Chap 23, p. 321, ebook version (p. 385.1 print edition)

“Change is the law of the universe. Without change, the world would not merely remain in a static state, but it would soon become stale and stagnant. Without change there would be no progress, for change is the essence of betterment.” -- Around the Year with Emmet Fox.

Action plan for this week:

  1. Embrace Change: Recognize that change is a natural part of life and an opportunity for growth. Choose to embrace change with an open mind and a willingness to explore new possibilities.

  2. Release Limiting Beliefs: Identify and release any limiting beliefs that hold you back from embracing change. Challenge negative thoughts and replace them with positive and empowering beliefs that support your personal growth and transformation.

  3. Cultivate Conscious Awareness: Develop a practice of mindful awareness to observe your thoughts, emotions, and resistance to change. By becoming conscious of your inner patterns, you can consciously choose new perspectives and responses that align with your desired outcomes.
